“And therefore I have sailed the seas and come
To the holy city of Byzantium”
Yeats
I’ve often wondered what inspires the creativity of a great mind like the brilliant designer behind Chop Zuey Couture Jewellery, Belle Roussel. Her recent fascinator piece called, “Sailing to Byzantium” is a creative reflection of the poem by the same name penned by William Butler Yeats. This extraordinary fascinator is a masterpiece of beauty, creativity and sophistication. Only a woman of profound intellect and sophistication could design such a thought-provoking masterpiece in honor of the poem behind its namesake.

“Consume my heart away; sick with desire
And fastened to a dying animal
It knows not what it is; and gather me
Into the artifice of eternity”
Yeats
I felt that such an artifice of ingenuity deserves to be styled with an equally creative outfit. I searched long and hard for an haute couture design that would compliment the ingenious that is Chop Zuey. My search ended when I walked in the door at Silken Moon. I was absolutely mesmerized when I laid my eyes upon the awe-inspiring outfit called “Chronophilia” by Silken Moon. The edginess of this dramatic tentacle-themed piece combined with the beautiful detail and sleek lines of the dress, helps to capture the artistic character of this haute couture design. In styling these two works of art together a new story unfolds in a world where imagination has no boundaries.

There’s always something exciting happening at Chop Zuey. Stay tuned for blog on some fantastic new “changes” from Chop Zuey!
