After an extended leave of absence from Second Life, I’m happy to announce that I’ve returned to resume my modelling and ad photography career. Nothing gives me more pleasure than photographing the inspiring creations of Chop Zuey owner, Belle Roussel. So when she asked if I’d like to blog one of her new fascinators I leapt at the chance! I was fidgeting with excitement like a kid at Christmas as I waited to receive the Lulu Cardoon fascinator. I was absolutely thrilled to see how this ingenious designer has once again outdone herself. She also included the Almost Heaven Mega Set, which truly is like a gift from heaven – the details in the metal and stones are outstanding. And omg, texture options galore!

The Lulu Cardoon Fascinator

Inspired by the unique shape of an artichoke, this texture-changing piece allows for a seemingly infinite combination of colours. I mean look at the details in the texture all those petals, right down to those cool little spikes on the edges. Not only can you change the colour of the main piece, but the crown stones and metal area are also texture-changing. I had a blast trying various combinations and finally settled for my favourite colour combination. (See Chop Zuey ad at the bottom for more texture-changing options)

Almost Heaven Mega Set

I absolutely adore this stunningly detailed texture-changing set comes with this gorgeous choker, matching earrings and two different sized cuffs. I’m going to get a lot of use out of this set and haven’t taken it off since putting it on. Rules Shmules!

I’d like to note here that the whole one-must-never-mix-metal-colours-in-jewellery rule has never appealed to my sensibilities. In my humble opinion, the combination of golds and silvers accented with a contrasting colour makes a look even more interesting – and I’ve never been one much for rules.
